Coffee Exchange decaffeinated coffees have been decaffeinated by an all water process using no chemicals. Green beans are soaked in hot water, releasing caffeine and flavor constituents to create a solution called flavor charged water that is then deprived of caffeine. Fresh new beans are then soaked in this charged water, leaching the caffeine via osmosis, while maintaining and protecting the flavor.
