Colombia - Fondo PaezCoffeeEx
American Roast: Green Apple, Dark Caramel.
Vienna Roast: Dark Chocolate, Cooked Brown Sugar, Black Pepper.
Available in two types of roasts, American and Vienna, both of which are approachable and guaranteed crowd-pleasers. The American Roast brews a cup with notes suggestive of green apple, and dark caramel, and has a nice creamy body. The Vienna Roast has notes of dark chocolate and cooked brown sugar, with just a hint of black pepper.
A barista favorite at The Coffee Exchange, and consistent winner of cupping competitions, this coffee is one of our most satisfying offerings. Cultivated by the largest indigenous group in Colombia, the Paez (meaning "the people"), this lot is harvested in the remote, southwest highlands of the Department of Cauca. Uniquely developed by Colombians to be disease resistant against La Roya, this coffee is partly of the Castillo varietal.
